About Our Bed and Breakfast & Catering Service

We are Donnell and Wanda Thompson, the owners of The Blue Porch Bed and Breakfast.

When we first laid eyes on this plot of land in the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee, we fell in love. We built this house in the summer of 2007 to look like an old home you had visited before. With each swing of the hammer, our dream of opening a bed and breakfast took shape.

In 2008, we opened our full-service bed and breakfast and soon found ourselves among new friends. Not long after guests began to occupy the rooms. Customers started asking us to cook dinners, share our recipes and cater social gatherings.

Now you can find The Blue Porch catering everything from intimate dinners to weddings, corporate events and family gatherings. We cater on site and provide off site catering in Murfreesboro and beyond. We even deliver family meals.

The Blue Porch has been voted “2010 Favorite Caterer in Rutherford County and Cannon County” in the 16^th Annual Ruthie Awards. We’ve also been featured in Murfreesboro Magazine and the Daily News Journal.
