The Rooms
Bed & Breakfast Rooms & Lodging
The Blue Porch bed & breakfast is tucked away in the hills southeast of Nashville, where you can leave the typical noise of the day behind.
While you often won’t hear more than the wind in the trees while staying in one of our airy rooms, you’ll be surprised to know that you’re actually only a few minutes drive from downtown Murfreesboro and Middle Tennessee State University.
Our location makes our bed & breakfast ideal lodging for business travel. (If you can’t unplug, don’t worry—we have wireless internet access.) Parents of MTSU students, visiting professors and business travelers appreciate our convenient proximity to Murfreesboro.
When you make a reservation at The Blue Porch, you’ll find that our accommodations are homey, spacious and warm—and at $100 per night, our rooms often cost less than a hotel.
Rooms & Accommodations
The Blue Porch has two rooms available for guests. Both feature queen-size beds, antique furniture and full, private bathrooms. Each room is available for $100 per night.
Our lodging is air-conditioned and immaculate, with several windows overlooking the tree-lined property in each bedroom. If you need an extra bed, a fold-out bed is available for $25.
The Purple Room features a gorgeous four-poster bed and a private sitting area.
The Black Room also features a cozy bed along with two comfy chairs and plenty of light—perfect for curling up with a good book or sipping coffee in the morning. Contact us to reserve your room of choice.
Breakfast & Gourmet Meals
The evening you arrive at our bed & breakfast, we’ll treat you to one of our delicious, home-cooked deserts. The next morning, you’ll awake to the smell of a full-blown Southern breakfast, including free-range eggs, hashbrown casserole, homemade biscuits baked with flour from the local Readyville Mill and more.
For each night you stay, we’ll serve you an all new breakfast menu that’s sure to please. You also can expect refreshments in the afternoon, and the refrigerator in the common area is always stocked with drinks.
All meals are prepared with as many local ingredients as we can gather. That also goes for the coffee we grind fresh every morning with beans from a local roaster in Murfreesboro. We’re happy to create vegetarian and vegan menus, and we accommodate any dietary requirements.
If you’ve had long day and don’t want to leave the bed & breakfast for dinner, we’ll create a menu just for you. Our award-winning food has been featured in several newspapers and magazines. One guest recommendation called The Blue Porch cuisine “as good as anything gramma made me as a child.”
If you’d like to stop by, book your room now. We’re always happy to have you.
Sitting Room & Common Area
At our bed & breakfast, you’ll be able to access a common area directly from your room. Complete with satellite television, a DVD library and plenty of cushy seating, this area is perfect for relaxing between outings.
Wireless internet access and a table for working also make our lodging perfect for business travel. Here you’ll also find a refrigerator stocked with teas, water and beverages along with a microwave, refrigerator and bar sink for your convenience.
